An interesting list to complie would be to identify sovereign nations or departments that do not have their own mission headquarters, like Malawi, which defers to Zambia. Or New Caledonia, or any number of islands and territories of the Caribbean or the non Latin countries of South America.
Based on the way things are trending, my guess is that Brazil will surpass Mexico as the nation with the second most temples within the next couple of years (if not within the next couple of conferences).
Chris - I highly doubt the new Maori Branch closed in New Zealand. The website you referenced is notorious for having errors with discontinued units which are usually corrected after a few days. It takes months to get approval to discontinue a branch, and as the new branch was just organized a month ago, I find this extremely unlikely. The fastest I have ever heard of a new branch being discontinued is about one year after its creation date.
Considering Elder Adern was very behind the formation of a Maori unit and he is the Area President I do not think this branch was closed so fast.
Back in 1995 my stake did discontinue two branches less than 3 months after organizing them, but in the mid-1990s my stake organized lots of branches without getting approval first. So in this case they may have dropped the new unit requests when they found securing buildings proved harder than anticipated. Looking back one branch seemed especially odd. The Highland Park branch would have had it's own building although some parts of it were less than a half mile, maybe not even a quarter mile from the existing church-owned building where the Palmer Park branch met.
I understand all the reasons in the 1990s the Church went for lots of small inner city branches, I am not sure that having so many small inner city branches was wise of justified.
On other notes a Portuguese-speaking branch was just forked in Rexburg. This may be th we first Portuguese unit in Idaho. There have been recently 2 new places in Mexico get branches. A second church unit has been organized in Luxembourg. It is a Portugues speaking branch.

The recently organized "Ngapuhi Branch (Maori), in Kaikohe, New Zealand, was just closed less than a month after it was organized.

There is a Portuguese Branch in Nampa that was organized a few months ago.
