Updated Country Profile - American Samoa

Unlike other nontraditional Christian denominations, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in American Samoa has achieved steady, significant growth in recent years. The Church reports more than 16,000 members, five stakes, 43 congregations, and one announced temple despite a tiny population of only 50,000. There are only sixteen villages where the Church does not operate a ward or branch specific for these villages. As much as 95% of the population appears reached by the Church.

According to a post, the Batangas Philippines Stake was created today June 09, 2019 from a separation from the Lipa Philippines Stake. The original stake has 10 wards and 2 branches. I'm yet to see news regarding the 112 and 113th stake.
Possible stake separations or reorganizations in the future are from:
1. Butuan Philippines Stake (10 Wards, 1 Branch)
2. Camiling Philippines District (11 Branches)
3. Tarlac Philippines Stake (9 Wards, 2 Branches)
4. Bacoor Philippines Stake (9 Wards)
5. Goa Philippines Stake (9 Wards, 1 Branch)
6. Valenzuela Philippines Stake (9 Wards)
7. Binalbagan Philippines Stake (10 Wards, 2 Branches)
8. Mandaue Philippines Stake (9 Wards, 1 Branch)
9. Iloilo Philippines North Stake (10 Wards, 1 Branch)

Another new stake created in the Philippines in the past month is Baliwag (May 26th). Orion and Iriga will be created on June 23rd. One other new stake has been created or will soon be created, but I cannot find the location yet.

Amazing to read about the depth of membership in American Samoa,too!
Checking units in the Philippines, I was amazed to see around 50 member groups that are not included in the total of 1,232 wards and branches.
According to the news release, "Countries in the Lima Peru Los Olivos Temple District, include Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela." Um, what?
Yeah, I thought that sentence odd. Perhaps it was an error in translation/adaption from the article in Spanish. The article in the Peru Newsroom says that the South America Northeast area consists of those countries. The article also provides the detail that the temple should be finished in 36 months.
