District Dissolved In Jamaica
A second district was discontinued in Jamaica. The Linstead Jamaica District was dissolved and had three branches. There are now two districts in Jamaica preparing for the first stake to be organized in the country. Mission leadership likely discontinued the district in order for greater emphasis to be placed upon the individual branches.

When do you think the stake will be organized?
Missionaries serving in Jamaica believe that the district in Kingston will be strong enough to become a stake within the next year. I imagine it will be during the first half of 2010 if the members are able to re-activate a dozen or so more Melchizedek Priesthoood holders in the district.
