Is Lome Togo Stake now the largest by number of units in the Church with Kumasi having gotten a 3rd stake?

Three stakes now have 17 units each, but Lomé has a slight edge, having the most wards of the three stakes. By sheer number of wards alone, the Colorado Springs North Stake takes the lead overall.

Stakes with largest number of congregations (17 congregations):
-Lomé Togo Stake (10 Wards, 7 Branches)
-College Station Texas Stake (8 Wards, 9 Branches)
-Longueuil Québec Stake (8 Wards, 9 Branches)

Stake with largest number of wards:
-Colorado Springs North Stake (15 Wards)

Ashburn Stake should still split in my opinion. Especially considering how much priesthood and experience there is. The number of convert baptisms looks to surpass both the last years of 2014 and 2015, one being 34 and the other 37.
I've said it before, but it is much better when stake leaders know more of the people of all their wards. Goood strategy to reduce their sizes.
I am glad that the Fredericksburg Stake finally split this year.
More priesthood authority and power should translate to more growth.

I think the Fredericksburg Virginia Stake was averaging around 100 converts per year for several years.

That's pretty good. I wonder if they were getting as many move-ins as Loudoun County in the last 20 years. An indication of Loudoun's growth:

Newest High schools: Riverside HS in Landsdowne, 2015.

Rockridge HS in Ashburn in 2014.

John Champe HS in Aldie in 2013.

Woodgrove HS in Purcellville around 2012.

Tuscarora HS in Leesburg around 2009.

Freedom HS in South Riding and Briar Woods HS in Ashburn, both around 2006.

Add those to the three in Sterling (Parkview which goes back to the 1970s), Dominion HS and Potomac Falls HS, which are possibly from around 2000, and Stone Bridge HS from maybe 2000 or so, plus the original Ashburn school of Broad Run, Leesburg's Loudoun County HS, and Purcellville's Loudoun Valley HS, and that is quite a few.

Even though it seems that Potomac Falls has a relatively small number of LDS students, in comparison with other area schools, the Ashburn Stake may have the largest youth numbers on the Eastern seaboard.

But correct, not all the move-ins are proportionately LDS, and many of the youth in number do not translate to more robust wards, especially where Melchizedek priesthood is required. Sounds like Fredericksburg did better in that regard, also more recently having two extra wards before its split into Stafford Stake.

Eduardo, lots of move-ins here as well.

That is a lot of new high schools. I see there are 15 public high schools, 14 public middle schools, and 51 public elementary schools in Loudon County. We have 5, 8, and 17 respectively in Stafford.

Loudon County's population is about 375,000 people and Stafford is about 142,000, so Loudon is a lot bigger. Loudon more than doubled since 2000 in population. Stafford went up more than 50% during that period. Loudon has about double the area as well.

It appears from comparing the county map and LDS maps of the Ashburn Stake that the stake's and county's boundaries correspond.

In my stake boundaries it is high school closings that I would have to report, not openings. Although to be fair a lot of the youth in the ward I was in until the start of this month go to a fairly new public International Bacclaureate High School. I can think of at least 6 high schools in my stake boundaries that have closed since when I graduated high school. School districts in Michigan are closer to being city level, as opposed to the more county level in the south, so there is no easy comparison. There have also been lots of Catolic schools close, and I knew people in my stake who went to Catholic School. Lutheran Schools as well. Then there is the rise of charter schools.

Abidjan cotedivoire Niangon north and the Abidjan cotedivoire Niangon south could split and maintain eight wards each with two or three branches ready to go while Giving out three and five wards to form the Niangon central stake (I just hope)respectively.....one of the difficulties 'qui bouche la progression de l'eglise en cotedivoire c'est parce que Il n'y Pas le batiment de l'eglise ah dehores de Abidjan et yamoussoukro' there are places where organizing a stake can be considered if only a church building can be found there, the inexperienced members will wake up to there responsibilities knowing fully well that it is just a pintch to a stake....church buildings help alot more especially, when you can find such a beautiful and magnificent building, the only that might be found Throughout the region of 'divo'.... I assure you that every one wants to enter and see this one church that has such a building then I assure you that the missionaries shall teach 'Jusqu'a fatijuer'
