New Stake in Mexico

A new stake was created last Sunday in Mexico. The Tulancingo México Stake was created from the Pachuca México Centro Stake. Tulancingo is the second largest city in the Mexican state of Hidalgo. I do not have specifics on the number of congregations in the new stake yet. There are now seven stakes in Hidalgo, three of which have been organized since 2007. Mexico has 221 stakes and 35 districts.

Matt, good to hear about the new stake in Mexico. Have you made a list of the stakes in each of the various Mexican states and the Federal District? If so, could you please share it with us?

The annual Deseret News Church Almanac gives good coverage of US states and the stakes and temples in each but nothing about Mexican and Brazilian states, so if you have that information I would like to know how to access it. Also, do you have information on the new Ivory Coast stake? Thanks very much
